Thousand Mile Punkin Soup with Cinnamon Cream

Today I had my first crack at home made pumpkin soup. But this was no Ordinary pumpkin soup. This pumpkin had travelled a thousand miles to be cooked especially by me.
Well 992km more like.
But still that is one well traveled pumpkin which I think is a must for the secret ingredients list of the perfect pumpkin soup. In order to gain that special traveled flavour the first leg must be traveled on a bike from Mallacoota to Canberra. Motorbike that is. Don't ask me where she put it...because I seriously do not want to know. The second leg must be completed in a car on its first road trip from Canberra to little ole Healesville and be delivered by one smiling Betty to my front door.
So with all the essential ingredients gathered pumpkin was chopped, seasoned with cumin, coriander, potatos and onion then blended and topped with cinnamon cream. Then gobbled by me.
